'Go All In' for Reading
We're proud to be the Lead Literacy Champions for Burnley, supporting the National Year of Reading 2026 – Go All In. Working alongside local community organisations and partners, we're helping to inspire a lifelong love of reading by distributing free books, literacy resources and Go All In packs across the borough.
As part of this work, we've already helped distribute World Book Day books and World Book Night Quick Reads, ensuring more people in our community have access to books and the opportunity to discover the joy of reading.
Our Go All In Literacy Packs include a selection of books, along with bookmarks, stickers, posters, flyers, shelf talkers and postcards, giving organisations everything they need to champion reading within their communities. Together, we're making books more accessible, encouraging people of all ages to read for pleasure and helping Burnley to Go All In for Reading.
If your organisation would like to become a Literacy Champion and help promote reading in your community, we'd love to hear from you.

Book Club & Book Hut
Join our friendly Book Club, held on the last Friday of every month from 10:30am–12:00pm. Together we discover a new book each month, enjoy a brew and share great conversation in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Our Community Book Hut is open to everyone. Whether you'd like to borrow a book, donate a book or find your next great read, you're always welcome. Every book shared helps make reading more accessible and encourages our community to Go All In for Reading.
