Tesco Community Pop Up Event

New Era was delighted to attend the Burnley Tesco Community Pop-Up Event on Saturday 30th May, marking our third consecutive year at this fantastic community event.

A huge thank you to Tesco Community Champion, Mukhtar, for organising another successful day that brought together local organisations, community groups and residents from across Burnley. Each year the event continues to grow, providing a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the incredible work taking place within our local community.

Throughout the day, our team enjoyed meeting members of the public, sharing information about the wide range of services and support available through New Era, and connecting with partner organisations. It was also a pleasure to meet Oliver Ryan MP, the new Mayor of Burnley, Councillor Saeed Chaudhry, and the Mayoress, who took the time to speak with organisations attending the event.

We were also pleased to catch up with Neil from Colourful Memories, who delivers our popular Creative Arts Health sessions at New Era, and there was plenty of entertainment throughout the day – including a surprise visit from some Star Wars characters, who certainly kept everyone smiling!

Events like the Tesco Community Pop-Up are a wonderful opportunity to strengthen local partnerships, raise awareness of the support available through New Era, and engage with people who may benefit from our services.
