Paediatric First Aid Annual Refresher

This annual refresher fulfils the HSE and EYFS requirements for all Paediatric First Aiders. This course includes CPR and Defibrillation and will ensure that Paediatric First Aiders remain confident and informed of current best practice.
Please remember to bring along the First Aid booklet from your previous course. We won’t be handing out full new books this time, but we will make sure you receive handouts for all the latest updates.
Candidates must be able to understand, read and speak English, as assessments are in English.
Course Overview
Course will revisit
- Being able to assess an emergency situation safely
- Being able to provide CPR to an unresponsive infant and/or an unresponsive child who is not breathing normally
- Being able to put an infant or a child into the recovery position
- Being able to identify mild and/or severe choking and being able to administer first aid to them when choking.
