Paediatric First Aid
The Level 3 Blended Learning Paediatric First Aid course is ideal for businesses in childcare or anyone wanting to learn First Aid for infants and children. It includes one day of online learning followed by a day of practical learning concluding with two short multiple choice assessments. This course meets The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements and ensures First Aiders are proficient in CPR (including Defibrillation) and handling injuries along with EpiPen training. Candidates must be able to understand and speak English, as assessments are in English.

- Roles and responsibilities of the paediatric First Aider
- Assess an emergency situation safely
- Provide First Aid to an infant/child who is unconscious and breathing/not breathing (CPR and De-fib)
- Airway obstructions
- Bleeding
- Shock and anaphylaxis (use of EpiPen)
- Injuries to bones, joints and muscles including head and spinal injuries
- Conditions affecting the eyes, ears and nose
- Chronic medical condition or sudden illness
- Extreme temperatures
