Our Allergy & Anaphylaxis Training equips teachers, support staff, volunteers and other professionals with the knowledge to recognise the early signs of an allergic reaction and respond appropriately in an emergency.
Designed with educational settings in mind, the course supports schools preparing for the introduction of Benedict’s Law and the enhanced allergy management requirements expected from September 2026. Delegates will gain a greater understanding of allergy awareness, anaphylaxis recognition and the actions needed to help keep children and young people safe.
Course Overview
During this Level 3 course delivered over 2 hours, delegates will learn:
- Understanding Benedict’s Law
- Common allergies and allergy risks
- Recognising allergic reactions
- Signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis
- School policies and responsibilities
- Individual Healthcare Plans (IHPs)
- Emergency Procedures
- Practical use of Adrenaline Auto Injectors (AAIs) & EURneffy Nasal Spray (needle free adrenaline nasal spray)
- Building staff confidence in responding to emergencies
