New Era Celebrates Burnley Business Awards 2026 Shortlisting

New Era was delighted to attend the Burnley Business Awards 2026, where we were honoured to be shortlisted for the Not For Profit Award.

While we didn’t take home the award this year, we couldn’t be prouder to have been recognised alongside so many outstanding organisations that are making a positive difference across Burnley.

The evening was a fantastic celebration of local businesses, charities and organisations, highlighting the passion, innovation and community spirit that make Burnley such a special place. It was a privilege to be part of such an inspiring event and to celebrate the achievements of our local business community.

We would like to extend our congratulations to all of this year’s winners and finalists. Every organisation recognised has made an incredible contribution to our town, and it was wonderful to celebrate everyone’s success together.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Burnley Council and everyone involved in organising the awards. Their hard work behind the scenes created a memorable evening that truly showcased the very best of Burnley.

We are especially proud of the New Era team members who represented us throughout our awards journey. Thank you to our CEO, Wendy, Development Manager, Graeme, alongside Lindsey and Brady, who proudly shared the New Era story.

Lindsey’s journey from trainee counsellor to becoming a qualified counsellor and valued member of the New Era team is a fantastic example of our commitment to supporting people to achieve their potential. We would also like to give special thanks to Brady for courageously sharing their personal story during our finalist interview, helping the judging panel understand the real-life impact of New Era’s work within our communities.

Finally, we would like to thank our dedicated staff, volunteers, partners, funders and everyone who supports New Era. This recognition belongs to all of you. Every day, your passion, commitment and belief in our mission help us make a lasting difference to the lives of people across our communities.

Being shortlisted is an achievement we are incredibly proud of, and it inspires us to continue growing, developing and supporting even more people.
